Monday: an easy 10 because there was no wind to sail too

Tuesday: Another 10 since there was still no wind.

Wednesday:  7 Since I went out by myself and kept tipping almost over since I couldn’t balance the boat out. and I got tangled in the mainsheet! Its was really scary

Thursday: Really windy and our yacht so this would be an 8  since I was a bit frightened Ezra’s crazy driving on the rudder!

Friday would be a 9 since it was really fun and cold capsizing. The swimming was the only hardest thing for me since the boat was too full to have 3 people in so we could only have one person.

My Maths Knowledge Reflection

Knowledge Goal and Reflection 29/07/14

I got  37/50  84 % for stage 6 number knowledge.

I did well in number bonds,  and rounding.

My number knowledge goal is Multiplication and division and groups with remainders.

Something I am proud of is trying the stage 7 test.

Something I want to learn more about is squares and cubes.

Bivvy design

Survivor camp 2014 is coming. We will be at the Roil's house. It sounds real fun and I can't wait. Anyway we have designed bivvies They are going to have to last over night.

What is the difference between area and perimeter?

This is the perimetreter. The difference between perimeter and area is perimeter is the outside of the shape or building or anything really, even a farm paddock has a perimeter and area  

 This shape has an area of 25 metres squared. We used the site Maths dictonary for kids

To worrk out area you do lenth X width for an example 3 lengh and 5 width.

My 3D shape!

Hi everyone. Here is my 3D shape below on the left.
It has 2 faces
0 Verticies, (corners)
0 Edges            

                                          

Below here is Hemanis shape. It is a square base pyramid.


It has 5 faces,
5 corners,
8 edges.

To figure out the edges you need to add the corners and faces together and plus them together then takeaway 2 then you have the edges.

Cube for maths

                           This is the cube side on now you can see 3 across and 4 up.

This is our cube. It is a solid shape. it is not a trick. I enjoyed making it. I think looking down on it it looks like a tall building. Please comment thankyou for reading. The height =4cm, perimeter= 12 (3+3+3+3) and the area = 9cm squared (3x3) and the volume = 36cm cubed (HxLxW = 4x3x3).
